Jobs: Director of Enterprise
Special Project of NYFA

Starting Date: ASAP

Job: Director of Enterprise

Web Lab

Web Lab is a New York-based non profit that encourages and supports innovation on the Web, with a special emphasis on developing the potential of the medium to bring people together to explore both personal and public issues in powerful, transforming ways.

Web Lab has identified several promising business opportunities that would both leverage its expertise and create revenue that would be used to further its mission. Current opportunities include: licensing its proprietary technique for high-quality online dialogue to businesses; developing and selling interactive broadband content; and selling its online proposal evaluation software, to name but a few.

Web Lab seeks a Director of Enterprise who can identify and evaluate these and other revenue generating opportunities and bring the most promising ones to fruition. Depending on many factors, each opportunity could become either a significant revenue stream within the non-profit organization, be spun-off as for-profit subsidiary of Web Lab, or become a separate entity altogether.

This is a fantastic opportunity to put business skills and experience at the service of an organization dedicated to innovative, public-interest work on the Web.

We would be willing to consider a short term commitment such as one year.
