I'm a copywriter at a company that I've learned to hate. I mean, this place started out a small business with a mission, but now it's a huge conglomerate with nothing but money on the brain. The one thing about this place is that it pays well.

I'd like to start a freelance business and I'm thinking that I could quit this job but convince them to hire me on a contract basis. This would tide me over until I find other clients. Anybody gone this route? Got suggestions?
