9 years I've been doing this. I hate it. I've worked in restaurants and clubs and most people are the same. IGNORANT! As for tipping, most people fail to realize the prices are the way they are because the customers are supposed to subsidize our income. If there was no tipping, employers would have to pay servers at least $20 an hour (Canadian) to get anyone to do the job. If they had to pay that, menu prices would skyrocket! We are not worth less than minimum wage! We run our behinds of for the scum of society who look at us like pariahs. But when they see their server get into a $30 000 car and find out they own their own home, they look perplexed. I served an old high school teacher of mine once and she said she never expected ME to be doing this. I smiled and politely told her I made at least $20 000 more than her. At least my pay was virutally tax free! It would have to be for me to put up with the pathetic excuses which pass for human beings out there.
