I have worked at several different places and specialties over the years, and am currently giving myself some time off. I have had jobs that I dearly loved and jobs that I didn't like at all.
What I want to tell you is this: You're not crazy! But, you ARE making a mistake by staying there.
How do you know you won't be able to get another job unless you try? DO put out feelers, and spread the word (network!) about your interests and skills to other people, preferably those you know outside of your office.
Consider other facts: any volunteer work? any civic/charitable groups you are affiliated with? How about a trainee or temp position, to try some new areas? Temp agencies can be very helpful! Even your hobbies and interests can point you to some new possibilities!
DO work up a resume and (if feasible) a "business card" that you can pass on to others. We all hate to 'brag' about ourselves, but there is nothing wrong with showing interest and enthusiasm in other areas.

Today's job market in most areas is much better for prospective employees than it has been for years, particularly in techology-based jobs. There are some really good job lead areas on the net, most of which we can search by specific locations. Even getting some names and sending letters of interest can sometimes raise terrific opportunities!
(I'm SO dreading going back there. Been here for about 10 years. I'm scared to leave (as much as I want to) because I don't know if I could get another job.
Sombody tell me I'm wrong. PLEASE.)
You are misinformed, not wrong. Yes, there are some offices that have conditions like yours or even worse, but there are lots of other offices that are made up of great people and have really interesting things to learn.

Please DO begin to circulate/network/spread the word about your interest(s) and availibility; I expect that you will be pleasantly surprised with the results :) !
Best of luck to you.
