Considering Resignation.
Posted by: Michael on November 10, 1998 at 22:32:01:

I'm currently working for a company in a position that, simply put, is doing me more personal/emotional harm than good. A career change seems absolutely necessary.

I am considering resignation with very little notice partly because if my company was firing me they would give me about one hour to clean out my desk. Also, currently there is much friction between certain members of management and myself; I feel a quick resignation may be best.

A large part of this issue is that I currently don't have other employment lined up, but I have a B.S.M.E. with seven years of experience and feel I could obtain employment shortly.

A basic question may seem ludicrous, but would it be best to "attempt" to be fired and hope for a severence package or simply resign?
