Is anyone familiar with S.C. Law?...

In South Carolina, a salaried employee can be fired with no stated reason. However, an employer must have documented proof of poor performance to fire an hourly employee. Is this law the same in most states or fewer? If a salaried employee is fired with no just cause, is there any reason to litagate?
