I think that it was due to lack of trust because they had experienced so many problems in the past with former employees. It is not fair to someone that had nothing to do with it.

My boss would contact a person sitting next to me and ask what am I doing. I felt that I was watched all of the time that it made me paralized in my concentration on the work. She also had other employees watch me. It was to the point that I could not function on the job and they asked me to resign.

I really don't know what was behind it all. But, it was very unfair for them to do this to me. Maybe it was intentional. I don't know.
