Freelancing at work
Posted by: Robert J. on June 19, 1998 at 12:16:32:

I've got sort of a screwed up situation at work. I have a job that doesn't really exist. I mean, okay, some of you would kill to have a job where you didn't have to do anything all day. But it was really bugging me. I'd sit there and the time would go SO slow. I didn't want to tell my boss that I didn't have anything to do because she might then realize that they don't need to have me around. So, I started bringing freelance work to the office. Now I'm always busy and I'm making almost twice as much money per hour. SOme of you probably think I'm an asshole for doing this, but hey, I work for a large insurance company. Does that make you feel better about it?
