When he challenged me to "go outside and finish it", I responded by calling him a litte "piece of ----", and basically told him what I thought about him. He then left shortly afterward, no physical contacat made. As a result, I have been demoted, reprimanded, and made to feel as though I cannot lose my cool one ioata. This for a company for whom I have worked for 25 years, with no prior history of discipline. The kicker is, my replacement was of the same ethnic backround as the ex-staffer and the upper management person who made the decision to demote me. I need some honest feedback...was I totally out of line? Did I deserve such severe discipline? Am I a victim of reverse discrimination? Please help, if you can, I am at wit's end.
