Nice one. You should have also mentioned one of those ideas he stole. "Say, did you ever get to talk with such and such about that idea of mine?" His superiors would have loved that one!

: Ever dealt with a VERY political boss? Well, I really didn't figure out my boss until the last week I worked for him (I had accepted another job). As an IT manager he was constantly brown-nosing other departments and pulling favors for his "buddies" with big titles in other divisions of the company. He would constantly dump all of the dirty work at the last minute on a Friday so that myself and other member's of the IT staff would be forced to come in on weekends, but he would end up taking all the credit.

: Anyway, I was determined that I was going to leave the company with the training textbooks for my Network Courses. The boss had kept me so busy they hadn't allowed me to go to a training class the entire year!

: So I waited until some bigwigs from another department were buzzing around the IT department, walked over to my boss and said, oh so politely:
: "Since I didn't to go to training this year, I figured that you wouldn't mind if I took the Network Training books with me when I leave? I gave a big smile and politely said hello to two of the other bigwigs.

: "Of course not, that would be fine Hope." (underneath I saw a little grimace!)

: I finally figured it out! He was such much at the mercy of looking good in front of other's I was able to get what I wanted!
