: There is no maximum temperature in the workplace. As a rough guide they are protesting for there to be a maximum of 30 degrees, but this currently is not a legal requirement.
The only guide there is, is under the Health and Safety legislation saying that a Company must look after the well being of their employees, and must use its judgement to protect them.
There is however a minimum temperature of 16 degrees. I hope this information helped.

i need a little bit of help and soon. i would like to know if anybody knows the maximum temperature that employees have to work in before being able to go home. our air conditioning is broke and the office was up to 90 degrees. is there a limit to what we have to put up with? a message was left for the repair man, but due to our heat wave, he is very busy and we dont know when he will be able to fix the unit. can anybody help me? please email me if you have any information.
