Need my boss off my back Posted by: Judy on July 08, 1998 at 11:55:46: I was hired 2 months ago for a real estate property management position I wanted very badly. I have 16 yrs experience doing identical work. It turns out that my new boss wanted the position for himself but was not allowed to have the job because they thought he would drive everyone crazy who would report to him (he told me this last week after we had a discussion), instead they promoted him and hired me, and basically he has only me to drive crazy. He has no people skills. He is rude, talks down to everyone, and has made me make improper changes. I have tried to talk to him, but there is no discussion. He is angry at this time because I finally refused to do something I believe is incorrect, write up an employee (who he doesn't like). He agreed to leave me alone for 1 1/2 weeks, to presumably be allowed to prove myself (of course, no one can make significant changes in a 50M property in 1 1/2 weeks. Since his promise, he has come on property 2 times, bothered workers who report to me both in person and on the phone. I have had three migrane headaches in 4 days. I really need to work. Since I intereviewed with his boss as well as him, would I be out of line talking to his boss about the situation? Do you see any hope for this. Please write soon, I have no one to ask and no where to go. Follow Ups
