I've just learned that the FBI Special Agents have a union. I'm an old man and my history with labor unions dates back to my 18th birthday. However, unions "in my day" offered help for the hired help. The "working stiff" as we were known as in those days. We worked at repetitive tasks that didn't require thinking processes beyond brawn and the ability to express common sense in our duties.
How did we get management types and professional grade people in unions in this country! No wonder the quality of work among bureaucrats and middle management people are diminishing today.
We can't afford this type of extravagance in todays critical world!
If you are a union member because you are "safe" in your job and you work for the government or some big corporation you better join the rest of the "working stiffs" and forget about a premium paygrade. This isn't reasonable today. Free rides are a thing of the past, or they should be!
Where are all the so-called conservative management people who know where the grade line should fall on this issue. Maybe they joined the union too?
