denied benefits while on WC Posted by: debbie on January 08, 1999 at 22:03:29: I was on workers compensation for 7 months, during that time my employer cancelled my health insurance and I recently found out they cancelled my retirement benefits. I am now back to work and when I confronted the employer about this he told me it was the same as being layed off and therefore he was allowed to do this. Is He? I feel as if I've been discriminated against and I don't know what to do, I have contacted one lawyer but he just keeps giving me the runaround. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. Follow Ups
