While it would be nice if our bosses remembered to give us raises when we deserved them, sometimes you have to ask for what you want. It's in your bosses interest NOT to give you a raise, because it saves money on the bottom line. So, you need to convince them that it IS in their best interest because they could lose a valued employee. I'd definitely speak up. It's always worked for me.

We just don't know what to do about this ,It seems like we felt we have to solicit our raise when it is their duty to do it.
