: So delighted to see that there are so many pages on waitressing.I am putting myself through college by waitressing.I work straight after college in the student bar-waitressing.And weekends in my home town. I really enjoy the work and alot of people will complain about the long hours and the abuse that you suffer from ignorant customers that you ,must agree we all have come across.But my advice is to grin and bear it.I think that is what annoys those annoying customers the most.If they are rude , they expect you to sulk and be quiet ignorant to them , whereas if you give them your million dollar smile and say"i'll sort that out".You are portraying yourself as a very mature and experienced person who is used to it all and can deal effectively with all situations as they arrive.
